An opportunity to look at single or multiple aspects of the school with a view to diagnosing areas for targeted improvement. This could be one department or a whole school focus such as display or literacy. The focus will be decided at a planning meeting prior to the visit. This session is also available prior to an external inspection when applicable inspection criteria will be used. .

Senior Staff, Heads of Faculty or Department, Principals, Directors

Programme content

Depending on length, the visit could include:

  • A ‘walk-through’ with senior staff
  • Round-table discussion
  • Lesson observations
  • Feedback and ‘Next Steps’ Session
  • Written report on findings and suggested strategies for improvement*
