The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication. There are two forms of the exam: Academic or General. IELTS is recognized by professional bodies, immigration authorities and a large number of employers.
IELTS (Academic) is a common requirement for acceptance onto Bachelors and Masters programmes that are taught in English in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
