The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is a standardized test that aims to measure verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing and critical thinking skills that are NOT related to any specific field of study. Your scores are used by admissions panels to supplement your undergraduate records and other qualifications for graduate-level study.
GRE is mandatory for entry into Masters and PhD courses in most universities in the USA and many English-taught graduate programmes world-wide.
